July 26th 2016 server re-opening to new admirals
- On the 26th of July 2016, this server, along with a select few other servers were open to new entrants into KanColle. Please click on [Expand] to the right to see more information.
- The following servers were made accessible to new players: Shortland Anchorage, Buin Naval Base, Tawi-Tawi Anchorage, Palau Anchorage, Brunei Anchorage and Hitokappu Bay Anchorage.
- In addition to the opening of the following servers, the following related tweets addressing to new players are as follows:

Currently the 「Kancolle」 servers are full, it is not possible to accept new entrants. To the brimming new admirals, we have to apologise and ask you to wait. We are looking into server expansion, it is possible that early into this summer we will be re-opening to the new entrants.
現在「艦これ」稼働サーバ群の着任枠が全て上限に達し、新規着任が不可能な状態となっています。新規着任を希望される皆さん、お待たせして申し訳ありません。各サーバ群着任枠の整備＆拡張を進め、今夏なるべく早いタイミングの新規着任再開放に努めます。

On the 19th of August 2016 during Summer 2016 Event, the following servers were made available to new admirals: Rabaul Naval Base, Shortland Anchorage, Buin Naval Base, and Tawi-Tawi Anchorage.

Starting now, we will be running a live update for all KanColle servers. We expect that the work will be complete by 1715. New users will be able to join beginning 1730.

Basically, New admirals can enlist themselves into the world of KC, i.e. new faces can register to play.
