What was your first sunken ship?

  • My first sunken ship was Tatsuta (lvl 3) due to my stupidity making her attack heavily damaged at a boss node in world 1-4. P.S. I didn't defeat the boss.

    • Your questions assumes that I've sunk a ship at some point ;)

    • ^your reply assumes that he was talking to you ;)

Mine was Yamashiro because i pressed continue by accident in 2-4.  It just reached 25 the previous node and it was going to be my first Kai ship.

    • I-58. Accidently hit continue like Ninthsense did. Thankfully I got her back recently, and I don't think she's too pissed about it.

        Loading editor
    • Mine was Atago, I didnt know about heavy damage can lead to sunk, Sunk in world 2 I think. The worst is I-8 ( world 2-3) , next is Tone ( Sacrifice her in E1 summer 2014 event to kill boss) and the last is Murakumo ( Sacrifice her in E4 summer 2014 event and get nothing ). I learned my lession and never want my ships girl sunk again. I'm the worst tekoku ever,......

    • None, there was once time my Akagi got heavy damage at level 29 with just 30 exp to remodel, but I such a coward so I bucket her then 1-1 and remodel her ¬¬"

    • now this is a really hard question

mine was Murasame in 3-2, back than after preboss Murasame was Red and i gambling hope my fleet go to furniture node, but it go to boss

and i do a stupid decision when i realise murasame didn't equip Damecon, and you must know the rest (and i was haunted in dream to must get Murasame again)

by the way, my 3-2 fleet are All Shiratsuyu class with level 40-70

    • Samidare, on first sortie on second node, that was my brilliant start and she was not last one.

        Loading editor
    • My Kisaragi was almost sunk several times, during the many attempts to clear 3-2.  I was... tempted to say the least at continuing onward in my frustration, but since I was also doing that Mutsuki class 3-2 quest, her sisters were also with her...

I could pretty much already see their faces when they returned to HQ one member short...  So call me sentimental for valuing the Mutsukis if you will, but I couldn't bring myself to risk losing any of them...

        Loading editor
    • During my early Teitoku days, while clearing 1-4 I accidently clicked "advance" when my Tatsuta was heavily damaged. Of course, the enemies  chose her as the first target on the next node...

This has happened again two times after that, but I had grown wiser and just refreshed my game, avoiding a crushed spirit and a sunk ship girl.

    • Never sunk a single ship, I always retreat when a ship is red.

I even check their hp if they drop to medium damage and calc if they are close to the 25% boarder.

When one of my ships is just one or two hp away from heavy damage I retreat as well. I just don't trust the game itself, you never know when a bug shows up and I don't want to lose a ship because of something like that.

    • My first and only ship that sunk was Kiso during 2-1 in my early admiral stages. I was irritated at the time because it never sent me to the boss node for what seemed to be the longest time, and I didn't realize that she was heavily damaged at the time. In memory of my sunken shipdaughter, I made the next Kiso I got my flagship and proceeded to prioritize leveling her, resulting in her being one of my first Kai Ni ships.

Still using her to this day in my main fleet; even though it's unfortunate, hopefully this can make up for my blind ambitions.

    • None.

Yet so many are seemingly terrified at the thought of joining my fleet...

    • None yet until now. Will just back to base when any heavily damaged , anyone sunk in boss node will give maximum grade of B only, so thus no rare drops?~.~

    • kagerou, 3-2. partly desperation, partly on a whim. didn't put much thought into it until she actually sunk

    • Yukikaze, 3-2, had no idea what I was doing then.

    • I sunk 3 ships in my career:

      1) I-168: I didn't know the game mechanics well. 2) Ooi: (One level before Kai Ni...) I didn't notice she was red and pressed forward. 3) Zuihou: My own stupidity, was levelling in 4-3 with her and pushed my luck.

    • I sunk probably 2~3 ships... I dont know the exact number which is really terrible.

The most sucky thing is that I dont remember the first ship I sank. Perhaps it wasn't really big thing for me.

Yeah Yeah... seems like Im the most shitty teitoku here :(

      well there's my mistake..

Thats why Ryuujo is not in my current fleet, and I didn't want. This is my punishment. :/

    • I remember in early times I tried to clear 2-4 like all new TTKs and pushed my luck with red damaged Fusou... and succeeded, yet I never tried anything like that again on purpose...

My real first sunk ship was after that... it was Isuzu, about 2-3 levels before Kai Ni in November E-2, so nearly last year. After yasen pre-boss node I accidentially hit continue and after I posted it how bad is it someone mentioned that I could refresh before battle... I never refreshed game before... actually after that I started exploiting 3-2 metal node + refresh, so I can say at least she left me with valuable experience...

After that I lost sanity on E-4 and send a lot of suicide lvl 1 CAs(not DDs, never sent suicide DD) and I'm not sure if any sunk... if they did I don't remember... damn...

After that I of course repaid Isuzu by making fastest exping farm ever and of course never sunk anyone ever again...

    • Mine is Akagi, I just sunk her 56 minutes ago in 3-4.. I have absolutely no excuses... I was distracted and clicked advance without noticing that she was in red... Freaked out after I saw it, right after I clicked the formation and it was already too late.. By some kind of weird train of thought thinking that I could maybe avoid the battle if I refreshed right away, I did it and of course it didn't work.. I didn't even get to see her final moment and can't even remember her exact level... She was around level 70+ or 78 or so, fully maxed stats with the second best set of planes I have in the fleet... In the end the fleet didn't even clear the stage... I'm so disgusted with myself, Akebono was right, I'm really a kuso teitoku.... She was from the quest and the ship that got me my first Kaga.

I always send my fleet back to HQ if anyone got red. In the past when I just started playing, I thought that they could sink at orange so I sent them back whenever a ship hits orange, probably because I'm really dumb or something to have misread the information. I'm really serious about being careful about not sinking my ships just to clear a map or for any reason at all... So this is inexcusable and I must have gotten lax from the time I've been playing...

Everyone, please take extra caution and pay attention to the health condition of your ships at the end of every battle.

        Loading editor
    • I sank two, First was Isonami, then Isuzu. Both were just non-kai yet because I was under the false impression that ships will only sink if their hp was 1 when they go to the next node.

I take care in retreating if at least one of them is badly damaged, or moderately damaged but red hp bar.

If I mistakenly continue to next node, I immediately close the game and login again after a few seconds.

    • btw....whenever some bad RNG happens to me in kancolle instead of raging i can always say thx for sparing my Souryuu RNG back then...she wasnt modernised or kai then so if that enemy hit didnt miss her she would sink (well yeah ofc enemy loves to target already dmged ships you know that... strongest enemy just had to target her)

    • My first sunken ship is lv. 36 Hyuuga, she drowned as sacrifice bait to bring 6th kill on spring event E-3 (Port Wine Operation). At that time Hyuuga rekt on 3rd boss node to red from single-shot Ru flagship, then I decided to advance and another enemy Ru flagship crit made me lost 2x 41 cm gun, a standard recon & a type 3 shell on her. She revived again next day in 2-3 boss for daily quest.

Another sinking case is 5-3, 5 sacrifical DDs had lost to bring transport ship boss destroyed 5 times after every surface ship sorties failed to pass 2nd yasen node.

    • Sunk a couple of ships, can't really remember my first ship (what an ass admiral I am), but I do recall that I was running low on my resources (starting playing about a month ago, first ship sank about 1 week after I started), and I sent those ships I received as rewards from clearing maps to continue clearing maps, and welp...accidentally sank a few pretty much on purpose since my intention was to drain them of their resources/health and dismantle them afterward

my first unintentional sinking was probably Kako when I was trying to clear some "Mikawa fleet" quest, I sent the whole fleet when only Tenryuu was in her Kai mode while the rest was barely lv3/4, and I pushed a little too hard and Kako sank (that was about 2 weeks back), and now still yet to clear that quest though I have everyone in their Kai mode (lv 25+)

    • In my first days as teitoku, I didn't know about what makes a ship sink so I battled and my starter, Fubuki, sank................ But I was quite lucky because I equipped her with Repair Team beforehand without knowing what was that for (lol) so she came back to life. My first 'actual' sunk ship was Ikazuchi. I didn't notice she was already red and advanced to the next node and then.... the thing happened. :'(

difficulty should be about as hard as final maps on events but with no drops :3 except final reward = sunken kanmusu

Tenryuu.  Back when I was like HQ Level 10 or so, before I knew you could refresh the page to reset a sortie.  I didn't know how damecons worked at the time, either, so I thought I could maybe use one to get her back, but no.

Have not lost another ship since then. Made sure to remember which symbol does what.

I dont even really reacall the circum stances... but I know it was 2-3... where all my losses have been...  sure there were a few other ones in the beginning when I was still learning.  In the last 14 months only lost 2 ships... both seriously hurt... the first was after the change in KCV last year where the updating of fleet status happened after clicking proceed, instead of proceed...   was kinda lazy-leveling...she proceeded forward and then the border change (which is also gone now)...  and in a split decision I was like "I've been doing this all day, Kiso's never taken more than 2 hp damage on the next node" reasoning with just barly red... but of course learned red = totalyl going to die no matter what rng is a @$#$...    yeah... oh well... still to this day I've never leveled another Kiso up... hurt too much... (yeah yeah I know.... lack a CLT for that reason)...  and the second was this month.... a hacchan...  had gotten in a rhythm... and was distracted by a markiplier video... didn't even notice the small warning flash on the latest versions of kcv (almost want to fork the project to go back to the old warning system)... but yeah... I didn't even notice until i caught the ship-card graphic out of the corner of my eye.... not something i typically see in battle.. and was like... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...  sadly no spare... and she hasnt redropped...   caught 2 back-to-back on 12/26... none since then. Has stunted my resource growth as I am doing all high-end dailies and running extra 1-5s in a faint hope.. not that it would help for the event... just want her back.. she had just proved herself in a the sub map a few days before.

A -certain friend of mine- here sunk a destroyer on my account before. (I was watching them play on my account because I was having connection problems when I first started.)

Since I was new at the time and didn't really know the ships that well, I confused a few of them for others. Pretty sure it was Mikazuki though. So I'm like a partner in crime to sinking because I let them on the account, but it's not directly my fault...right?

What made it worse was she had just been Kai'd and it was my second sortie with her after her upgrade.

1 and a half years later, no more sunken ships. Until disaster struck...

Lvl 45 Yuudachi, my second-strongest Destroyer at the time (yeah, I don't play very much. Just when the fancy hits me), destroyed due to bad luck. Shouldn't have advanced, but thought the orange health and higher level would keep her safe. I was wrong.

A whopping 2 days later, lost a Lvl 20 Ryuujou. Got greedy, paid the price.

The worst though, by far the worst, was this morning. I sacrificed my beloved Hatsuharu, raised with blood, sweat, tears, and love, just on the crusp of her Kai Ni upgrade. And for what? Another Kikuzuki boss drop? Why? What was I thinking? She was red. That's a clear sign to not advance; I should KNOW that. Oh, if only I could take back the last 3 hours, I would just retreat. One little click, and you lose so little, and yet so much. My heart, it throbs with regret.

The wounds all heal with time, and new shipgirls arrive to replace the old, filling that gap in your heart as best they can. But it hurts, and you lose something precious beneath the waves when they sink. Press on admirals, but care for your shipgirls. They fight for you; the least you can do is protect them.

She was one of my best DD and been with me since my early days on this game, about a year ago. It's the worst feeling. Sound was muted, multi tasking and mindlessly grinding E-3 Fall. I usually am ok like this because of KCC telling me if a ship is red when I look at the game, but somehow i had a misclick and it was not showing my ship red so I advanced... during the fight I noticed something was really wrong because KCC was telling me Shigure had a gray icon... didn't want to believe it until it actually happened. I was pretty upset and almost quit, but she returned as a drop from E-3 and now I must power level and she will always have a repair now with secondary equipment slot, I don't want to make the same mistake twice or with any other of my ships.

Yeah, you're probably right. It was like, a year-and-a-half ago, and I have a notoriously bad memory. Not to mention, you know, it's impossible for an orange ship to sink in a fight. With the current proofs, entering a node not Taiha'd (red HP) => got Taiha'd in day battle=> enter night battle should still be unsinkable. A more reasonable possibility is that you might have thought you are entering NB, but was actually advancing with red HP?

And when I realized it, it was too late, I could only watch in horror as she slowly sunk to the depths of the Orel sea.

I observed the ritual week of mourning and abstaining from Kancolle, draped the office in black and concrete and ritually killed 33 Destroyers in 1-1 before starting playing again.

To this day she's the only ship that sunk in my fleet, but I made a point of raising her 2 clones and all the other subs to 99 to honour her memory.

First node, she's chuuha'd at day battle, i glanced through the KC3Kai and was like "sigh, looks like she will be taiha'd again at second node". Going to yasen, then back to YouTube. Then after i've noticed they're done with the first node, i casually advanced, still thinking that my Mutsuki is only chuuha'd, while in fact she's already taiha'd from the first node's yasen. And when i realized that after the second node's yasen, it was too late. At first i didn't believe it, since i was still under preassumptions that she's only chuuha'd at first node. Only after looking the battle history through KC3Kai then the shock gets to me.

After apologizing to the other Mutsuki-class that i have (plus Yuudachi and Fubuki), i'm halting all activity, and dumping all my res to constructions, and after exactly 40 tries of 30/30/30/30 with 40 flamethrower, i finally got her back.

Nowadays, she remains the only sunken ship in my history of playing KanColle (although i've spoiled her a lot more now). But on that day, i actually hated myself (and YouTube for that matter).

It was until I lost Murakumo at 1-6 during my first month that I started to this thing seriously. Murakumo's sunken line truly had a haunting effect.

    • The first ship I sunk was I-Kyuu, from gunfire by one of my starter girls.

Okay, that aside, I haven't let any of my girls sink. Well, there is this one incident where I nearly lost Imuya when half of my brain told my mouse-arm to click the "Proceed with Sortie" button when the other half clearly saw that she's Taiha

F5 helped, but I told myself I shouldn't let myself experience that again.

      She's Taiha'd. Low on fuel&ammo.

I don't wanna spend any extra resource just to heal her.

So I send her off again......without docking or resupply.

I mean dude! I have 6 ships. There is no way they're going to aim at her.

KTKM is waiting for her in Kai Ni form.

      What could possibly go wrong?

Ooi was hit as a first target. By a DD. With just enough damage to put her down.

Such a waste......I could have level someone else in that spot. Those precious EXP. >:T

And thus she's my first sunken ship......

In PvP. _(:3 」∠)_ No EXP for her that match. She's still here. Lv.98.

    • Tenryu...2 days ago.

I was leveling them up, but got bored and started multitasking.

When I realized Tenryu was critically damaged, It was already too late. The battle was already in progress when I saw Tenryu's health bar. I closed the KCV in panic, but it was no use. By the time I opened it up, she's already gone from the fleet.

I am still regretting and trying to get her back. Never thought this would happen to me.

Then, no more gambling.. seeing any ship sunk are much worst than retreating in failure, even lv1 ship count.

Being a new TTK (Started playing on 8 May 2016), she sunk while carrying two of my best planes (Ryuusei Kai and Shiden Kai Ni). So i'm still pretty salty about it.

I got her back though from construction while searching for Kaga recently, now she is currently 2 levels from her kai...

    • Lv. 38? I-168 (Imuya) - 1:07 PM Thursday, April 21, 2016

I was training Katori in 3-2, and she was at Lv. 34, so I was really hurrying it up so I can remodel her. At that point, as soon as the fleet comes back, I get them resupplied and swap out anyone who's tired (except for the Flagship) and send them back out again. I was thinking about remodelling Katori that I didn't notice Imuya was heavily damaged until I suddenly saw 0 HP right after she was attacked. Having a ship sink felt like I lost my innocence, and I couldn't face Hachi and Goya (the only other submarines I had.) That event really dampened things, especially since I only got my first Kai Ni yesterday.

I seriously did consider not getting another one because I feel like it would be an insult to Imuya since it can be interpreted as she's just something that can be replaced. But she's not, no one is. In the end, I did get another one because having only two submarines was way too inefficient. There were a few moments where I almost sent out a heavily damaged submarine while grinding, but luckily I happened to notice it. I really wish I could remember who were with Imuya when it happened though.

    • I sunk total of 2 when I was so new to this game , I'm not sure the first one , I think it's a Fubuki Class with lv 3 or 4 , I don't remember who and how the hell I sunk her , lul

The other one was Yuudachi lv 19 , one damn sortie to Kai , she's getting taiha and then I press continue to next node , and I think I can't rage quit at that point

        Loading editor
    • My first sinked ship was Mutsuki because I was new and i think i pressed continue instead of leave, as for the world I do not remember.

        Loading editor
    • I don't think a spare I-168 (destined to be used for modernization) can count, so it was my starter ship Fubuki Kai Ni (Lv.97) at E4 easy of Summer 2015. I was farming that map and I incredibly failed to notice that she was heavily damaged at the pre-boss node and she was sunk by a DD at the boss node.

However, I have to say that I was lucky since in that fleet there were Akizuki and Hiou (with my best planes) that I could have also lost in the same way (except the flagship, the other 2 ships were 2FBB, so chances of them getting heavily damaged were almost non-existent), so I could easily replace her with another one (now Lv.96).

    • Remember kids, there's that button with a cross at the edge of the window.
You have until the battle formation selection screen to press it, if you are unsure of your fleet's safety.
Once you select a formation, your fleet's fate is sealed.
I think that it's better to retreat and try again, than to advance and gamble your girls' lives with RNG.
Just like the casinos, the house always wins.

    • Never had a girl sink before but there was one situation where it could of went bad. This was way back when i first started a year ago. I don't exactly remember the world i was in but I advanced without actually taking into account that Kisaragi was in the red so when the battle first started, I saw that she was in the red and I went "Oh shit". She was targeted but thankfully they missed. Now I use KCV and if i lapse there is a bright red flashing light that tells me "Dipshit, one of your girls are red, refresh now!"

    • The last day I was really tired from work but I was thinking at this rate it will take years for me to have some hight level ships so I started to kai ni my ryuujou. She was level 74 so i wanted to get it done that day, and than the really last batte that she nedded I was so tired that I didn't notice that my level 53 U-511 was heavily damaged, and her morale was even covering it at the start of the battle, and when I noticed it it was in the actual battle. I was almost crying at that stage, and I know that it is too late to do anything, so I have to suffer througt it... I really think they should add a warning if you are aboot to start a battle with a heavily damaged ship, so you at least have a chace to reatreat to save your ship, beacuase I am actually scared to sortie again from the mental trauma that it put me through.

    • My first and most likely last ship that sank was sadly, the free Akagi you get from the quests. Finally after 100 tries, i got to near the boss node on 2-4. Akagi gets heavily damaged, oh god. i plead that i can go to the boss node and beat it without her sinking. She noblessly sank to the bottom of the sea that day. Did not finish that boss node either.

Now im just sitting here with Kaga, Souryuu (which i got on my first construction after akagi sank) and Hiryuu. Waiting patiently for Akagi's sweet voice to arrive back from the sea to finish up a quest.

Fed up with the mess that is clear 3-2, (took nearly 50 sorties to clear and made the 8 DDs that were sortying grew up like ten levels each), I sent all DDs with 2 mains and a repair crew. The boss got Yuudachi, obviously she resurfaced, but technically, she sank. I got a rank and advanced btw , so I´m glad I did it.
