There are currently 308 quests in total as of 6/6/2017 (Not including the seasonal and event quests)

Introduction

There are MANY MANY quests in kancolle that give you different rewards, resources and materials. Just by looking at the number of the quests that kancolle currently has right now, some people might intend not to finish most of them because it's too long and boring.

However, do note that there are some quests that will give you a VERY GOOD equipment/material that can help you in the game A LOT later on as a reward. These " rewards " are often given out after you finished a certain LONG and ANNOYING questline (Which consists of a lot of annoying quests). Therefore, I'm gonna explain those questlines in details down here.

Preparation

Ok in order to finish all of the questlines down here with ease, you will need a certain preparation first.

• You need to clear the map up to World 6-2 and unlock 6-3 (Only unlock it , don't clear it for now, trust me, you will not want to face it's LD form while u are doing the quest in map 6-3 !)
• Ship's level needs to be a bit " decent " (At least in Kai form)
• Some good equipment as well (Yes ! Don't use the crap like T97 Torpedo Bomber or T99 Dive Bomber, something like that)
• Lastly , you will need LUCK

Now, after finishing all of the above things, let's tackle them shall we ? But before doing so, I want to tell you guys one thing : I have already set all the quests in the correct order, if you do the quests that are listed here from the top to bottom one by one, consecutively, you should be able to proc the next quest and go all the way to the last quest that will give you the reward with no problem.

So ya, DO FROM THE TOP TO BOTTOM , ONE BY ONE.

Questlines

The TOP TO BOTTOM rule is still applied here. Do the questline in order ! (Catapult I > Catapult II > Z1 > ..... and so on) so that you don't have to look for the quest that was in the previous questline again.

Tips & Guides

• A12/A13 : Once you've unlocked map 3-2, you can farm node A for CVL and FBB drops.
  • I mean, cmon ! Everybody knows how to 3-2A right ? :P
• A23 : This quest will be a pain for you if you don't have map 5-4 unlocked, you can try to craft Shoukaku and Zuikaku with 300/30/400/300 or 420/420/420/420 though.
  • Of course, if you have map 5-4 unlocked, farming for them at the boss node is a better option.
    • AGAIN, it's up to RNG in the end !
• A25 : Map 1-5 drops shit ton of SS !
• B20 : Bring an AV and a CV as well, it will help you ! (AS/AS+ : 56/112)
• Bw1 : Who wants sparkle ? (Just sparkle your girls in 1-1, simple !)
• Bw4 : Unlimited Orel Works (Send your SS fleet to 2-2 or 2-3 for faster transport ships clearing)
  • 2-2 has some node that enemies might be in Line Abreast formation though, better watch out !
• Bm6 : 2 DDs will completely get rid of the north route so you will alway go to node H no matters what, have fun dealing with that 50/50 compass ! (AS/AS+ : 113/226)
• B50 : Ok this quest is gonna be annoying since Akigumo and Oboro are kinda vulnerable to the enemies
  • Compo : Akigumo, Oboro, Shoukaku, Zuikaku, 1CVL, 1(F)BB(V). Flagship should be either Akigumo or Oboro for safety. This compo will alway route ABCD or ABGED so at least there won't be any compass troll here, 100% boss ! (AS/AS+ : 146/292)
    • A : This node contains Heavy Cruiser Ri-Class Flagship, which is very dangerous for your DDs, just pray that your heavier ships shut her down first before she can shoot at your DDs
    • B : Oh look ! Submarines in Echelon ! Here comes their bullshit accuracy again ! (Meaning : Expect a troll here, they can even oneshot your BB !)
    • C : Standard Carrier Wo-Class Flagship may pose as a threat to your DDs, but since they are in diamond formation, they will usually miss, so don't worry about it much.
    • G : This node might fuck you up real hard since it contains an enemy BB here that is always in either Line Ahead or Double Line. Now everyone is vulnerable to that enemy BB and your girls must kill her as soon as possible, or else she will slap your girls pretty hard !
    • Boss (D) : Boss node should be easy to deal with, if you happen to roll the enemy comp with Southern War Demon, it will be even more easier since she only has 10 Armor ! The quest requires S rank though, if the enemies still survive after day battle ended, you still have 3 girls that can act at night and finish them off. Good luck !
  • Of course, if you are having a lot of trouble with this quest, you can use Support Expedition. It's world 5 so why not ?
• A30 : Abukuma can either be found via construction 250/130/200/30 OR in 4-2 and 2-5 boss
• D19 : RIP one expedition fleet, that 80 hours is gonna be painful
  • EXP 26 : 1CV/CVL/AV as Flagship (Lv 30+), 1CL and 2DDs
  • EXP 35 : 2CV/CVL/AV, one as Flagship (Lv 40+), 1CA and 3DDs
    • CA NOT CAV!!
• F20 : You should get shit ton of CVL drops at this point, just get Type 97 Torpedo Bomber from them
• F19 : Tenzan can be obtained via development : CV secretary : 20/60/10/100 OR 30/70/10/110

2. Catapult Questline II

• A59 : Zuihou, same as Zuikaku, can be found in 4-4, 5-2 and 5-4 boss node. You can still construct her though : 300/30/400/300, 420/420/420/420.
  • Chitose and Chiyoda must be in carrier form, take note!
• B14 : Again, bring an AV and a CVL with you! (AS/AS+ : 56/112)
• Bm7 : SEE THE NOTABLE SORTIE QUESTS SECTION
• B54 : 2BB 4CV should give you an extremely strong opening airstrike to nuke everything in your way (Sometimes they will do shit damage though, blame RNG !) (AS/AS+ : 123/246)
  • The real enemy here is the compass, and since you have CVL in the fleet, you will more likely to go to node K, meaning, even more deadend trolls to deal with!
  • Luckily, there is a small chance that you can roll north east and go A-F. If you ended up at node F, a boss fight is guaranteed as long as no Taiha preboss given.
  • Map 2-4 shouldn't pose much as a threat since the enemies here are kinda weak. Still, watch out of Ru, Wo and Ri along the way, they can be on drugs sometimes!

• A34 : Uzuki can't be constructed, just go to 2-5 and 5-4 boss node to farm for her
• B24 : This quest can be either easy or hard, depending on your HQ level
  • Due to the restriction of using 4DDs only, you can't bring AV/CVL/CAV here. Have fun dealing with the trolling compass in the end !
  • If HQ < 80, good! You only need to roll the trolling compass in the end, not so hard!
  • If HQ >= 80, RIP! The first node will usually ruin your sortie due to the appearance of Oscar there (It will snipe one of your girls, pretty annoying !)
    • It's not over yet, bypassing it is one thing, rolling the trolling compass in the end is another thing you need to deal with...... So ...... have fun..... !
  • If you really want to eliminate the risk of getting your ass kicked in the first node, you can try to level Mutsuki up to 87. At lv 87, with 3 Type 4 Passive Sonar, she should be able to perform OASW and rekt that Oscar (She can still miss sometimes though, watch out)
    • But again, you will need A LOT OF TIME to grind her up to 87, not to mention, getting Type 4 Passive Sonar requires A LOT OF SCREWS, which I don't think the beginners have
  • THEORY : The chance of going from E => I (Boss) is more like 50/50 instead of 70/30(?)

  • Come on, it's an easy quest! Do we really need a guide for this?
• WB01 : The girl that is lv 90-99 as Flagship, 1AV, 1CV and 3 other girls (AS/AS+ : 56/112)
• WB02 : S rank 4-3 boss node? Oh boy, this is gonna be fun! I hope your waifu isn't a CAV or AV because those ship types will screw up the branching in 4-3!
  • There is a high chance that the enemy SS will show up at the boss node. Since you need S rank for this quest, you will need to bring ASW here (Go full ASW !)
  • The comp should be Your waifu as Flagship, 1(F)BB(V), 2CA (CA NOT CAV), 1CL (Full ASW) and 1CV (AS/AS+ : 114/228)
  • Again, if your waifu is a CAV or AV and you happen to start at node J, you will be forced to go J => K, which will reduce your chance of rolling into the boss node
  • Furthermore, the compass at node G is pretty cancerous, have fun rolling that 33% !
  • Picking Line Ahead or Double Line at the boss node is up to you. If you have already fought 3 battles preboss, picking Double Line might be more preferable as you will still have enough ASW damage to kill that trolling SS if it shows up
    • Otherwise, Line Ahead is always the best option!

  • Zero Fighter Model 52C (601 Air Group) is an exception though, it can't be crafted but you should get one during the second catapult questline

If you want to save screws later on, try to improve the Type 0 Fighter Model 21 to max via Akashi's Improvement Arsenal first, as the improvement level will be carried over the conversions, you will not lose the improvement at all ! Use this T21+max and convert it into T53 Iwamoto, the improvement star should stay. Enjoy using your brand new T53+max (That's 14 AA right there !) Take note that the above method will only work for Carrier-based Fighters. I'm not sure about the other equipment

  • Due to the branching rules, 2 last slots should be 2CA(V) for 100% starts at node A and 100% H => I (Boss)
  • There is a chance that you can roll A => C, as you have no DDs in present, you will mostly offroute to node E afterwards, you can either F5 or just fight that node like usual, it's not that bad anyway
  • The most important thing in this quest is Air Power
    • Seaplane Bombers can be used to gain AS for your side, but take note that there is a random chance that the enemy SS will pop out at both preboss and the boss node, whoever has Seaplane Bombers will be forced to attack it as long as it is still in present
      • A CL with OASW can kill it as soon as possible, allowing them to attack the other surface enemies like usual. However, if she missed or couldn't deal enough ASW damage, expect a lot of shots wasted on that trolling SS
    • Using Seaplane Fighters is also a good idea, as it won't force the girls to attack SS even if it's in present. But in exchange, Seaplane Fighters won't enable Artillery Spotting by itself, if you want your girls to perform Artillery Spotting, another normal Seaplane is required
    • I used 3 Seaplane Fighters for this quest, one on Yamashiro and the other two on CA(V)
  • AACI can also be brought, Maya Kai Ni will be your friend in this case
  • CL should be able to do OASW for safety, as node A has a chance to pop out an enemy SS in Line Ahead formation, it can easily ruin your sortie
    • As the quest also requires S rank, it also gives CL more shots to kill the SS at boss if it shows up
  • Node F can be a bit dangerous as Ru Flagship can easily oneshot your CL and CA(V) there. Just pray that your BB will snipe for them first, or pray that your girls will do some crazy dodging skills
  • Again, using Support Expedition is optional

  • The compass here is pretty cancerous, good luck with that

  • First of all, this quest isn't that hard, it's just annoying
  • Secondly, BE PATIENT ! YOU WILL CLEAR IT EVENTUALLY
  • There is a compass troll and a cancerous preboss node which contains Battleship Ru-Class. Like I said, just keep trying, you will get to the boss node somehow
  • Take note that the boss node is very easy to S rank, you can't fail it no matter what
  • There is a slight chance that you might be thrown to the north route and end up at Wo node. You can either hit F5 or fight that node like a man, suit yourself !
  • Forgot to mention, Abukuma Kai Ni's opening torpedo would be very useful here
  • Lastly, if you are THAT desperate, you can bring some Damecon I guess. I personally think it's not worth though

  • Beside that, I can only tell you what I did for this quest, I remember putting all the Seaplanes on Kuma Kai, 2 seaplanes on Aoba Kai and another one on Kinu Kai Ni due to the lack of LoS. Other than Kuma, 5 other girls have Night DA setup
    • I used Uranami here, she brought a Star Shell for the yasen node
    • Ooi and Kitakami have a midget submarine each for opening torpedo
  • In case you haven't noticed, this fleet is meant to go north, so if you started south, just retreat
  • This quest is gonna be quite annoying so pray for RNG

Notable Sortie Quests

1. Bm7 (World 2-5 Nightmare Party)

World 2 page has already had this section covered so I won't go into the detail much (There is a Bm7 tab in map 2-5 stage guide section, you should be able to see it)

Basically, in order to clear this quest with ease, you will mostly need luck. Here are few tips :

• All DA Setup : Night Double Attack is more reliable to kill enemies and it is strong enough to wipe them off anyway, no need to do Night Cut In at all (Because it would be overkill !)
• If you lack LoS, you can try to sacrifice one girl, focus all the equipment that contribute LoS on her only : This way, five other girls can still do Night DA, while the last girl will just simply carry all radars or seaplanes in order to bypass the LoS check (You will have a harder time to obtain S rank at the boss node due to the lack of FP though, watch out)
• The yasen node : You can either pick Line Ahead or Line Abreast here.
  • While Line Abreast can increase your girl's evasion, it will also decrease your girl's accuracy as well, meaning, you will give the enemies more opportunity to shoot = more chance of getting Taiha.
  • I personally pick Line Ahead. It's better to disable them and shut them down before they can even shoot you (Like kill them before they kill you, you know !)
  • If your girl's level are high enough and you have decent Night Battle equipment, they still can hit enemies accurately while getting more evasion

• Air Power : If you happen to have Zara or Pola, you can equip Seaplane Bombers on them. Since north route of 2-5 doesn't have enemy carriers, a single seaplane bomber is enough to get AS+ for your side, enabling Artillery Spotting.
  • With AS+, Zara, Pola and Ooyodo can perform Day Double Attack, which will help eliminate enemies much easier!
  • Do note that the Seaplane Bombers might be wiped out completely during sortie due to being put in the small slot. Expect to lose the plane rank here

Of course, if you have the best equipment, this quest is a joke!

2. B32 (3-5 Hoppo Party)

HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO DO THIS QUEST BEFORE YOU ENTER 3-5 FINAL FORM AS 3-5 PRE-FINAL IS MUCH MORE EASIER THAN THE FINAL FORM !

• Comp : 2BB (Not FBB or BBV) + 3 (CA+CLT) + 1CVL
  • I brought 3 CAs for this quest
  • HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO BRING Maya Kai Ni ALONG WITH YOU, AS SHE CAN PERFORM AACI TO MAKE WO AND HOPPO SHUT UP FOR THE WHOLE DAY BATTLE !
  • Take note that since the day battle cap has been increased to 180, this quest has become slightly easier but at the same time, more annoying as well as enemies are like your girls, they can hit your girls harder if you get a Green T Engagement
    • Hoppo is one good example of this, she can easily punch your CAs and CLTs
    • In exchange, you can easily disable her with Type 3 Shell. With the help of the new day battle cap, one good Double Attack roll from CA that is equipped with Type 3 Shell should be enough to take her down to Chuuha
  • BB should be equipped with AP Shell to clear the tanky enemies easier
  • CA should be equipped with Type 3 Shell to have an easier time with Northern Princess
  • You can bring CLT instead of CA, but take note that their torpedo will never aim at Northern Princess, not to mention, they can't even deal good damage to her as well
  • Again, if Maya Kai Ni can destroy all of the Northern Princess's bombers with her AACI, Northern Princess won't even do the shelling at day !

• Air Power : Around ~300
  • CVL should be Flagship for this quest, let her carry all fighters as well
  • Let's forget about the Saiun seriously !
  • Assuming you do this quest before entering 3-5 LD, there will be 50/50 chance of getting either AP or AS at Northern Princess node. If you happen to roll the comp with AP, disabling Hoppo will be kinda difficult as you lost the Artillery Spotting. Just pray that your girls can do some crazy dodge here

• Literally every node can send you home ! Be Patient !

3. B41 (5-1 Mikawa Fleet)

Alright, before doing this quest, you should know some fact about this quest

• You have 2 CA so it's 100% start at node A and 100% H => I (Boss)
• But at the same time, you have no DDs so there is a chance that you can offroute from node C and go to node E instead of node H
• You have no air power, so Artillery Spotting is not possible here, bringing Seaplanes is useless
  • Bringing Type 98 Reconnaissance Seaplane (Night Recon) is also pointless here as you don't have the air power to trigger it anyway
• Meanwhile, enemies do have air power (Not all the times though, but high chance they do), this effectively enables the Artillery Spotting for enemies and that is gonna hurt !
• There is a small chance that the enemy submarine will show up in Line Ahead and show up at the boss node, they can easily ruin your sortie and S rank, so an OASW-capable CL is recommended here

Comp : 5CA 1CL : Choukai Kai Ni, Kinugasa, Furutaka, Kako, Aoba, Yuubari

• CAs with a good setup can potentially damage any enemies, for instance, 1 red + 3 yellow can give a lot of firepower to CA in day battle and still keep the Night DA for night battle
• But don't forget the AACI, the airstrike sometimes can hurt your ships as well, 2 AACI is recommended. This setup : 1 red + 1 yellow + Secondary HA-AAFD + Air Radar will make the ship AACI-capable at day and do the Night DA
• Yuubari with enough level to do OASW is also recommended as she can kill the trolling submarine before the battle begins
  • As the quest requires an S Rank at the boss node, Yuubari will be useful here in case that trolling submarine shows up
• Again, Don't bring any seaplanes here
• Some people might even put Bulges or Turbine on the girls for defense. I prefer more firepower to kill something than playing defensively though
• Lastly, going Line Ahead or Double Line at the boss node is up to you, I picked Line Ahead here

Support Expedition : Node support is recommended, boss support is optional, but it's probably not worthy as you will likely get sent home a lot

4. B62-B80 (6-3 Party)

B80 Version

• Remember what I said about not clearing 6-3 just yet? This is the reason! Not forcing the map into the Final Form will make the boss node much easier to S rank
• There are two ways to clear this quest, short route with squishy ships, or long route with tankier ships. For this quest, I highly recommend the short route in order to conserve the fuel and ammo as much as possible, you will need every damage you can get at the boss node for S rank
• Comp : 1CL 4DD 1AV
  • Two battles preboss, a submarine node which has a chance of popping out Submarine So-Class to ruin your sortie, and a surface node which contains enemy CL and CLT, whose torpedo stats are high enough to wreck your DDs in oneshot
    • Pray that your girls pass these nodes safely I guess, there is nothing we can do here
  • The boss node looks pretty tanky as well, 1-2 Battleship Ta-Class Flagship, 1-2 Heavy Cruiser Ri-Class Flagship, 2 Late Model DDs and the infamous Destroyer Princess. This is gonna be great !
    • Consider RIP your S rank if you rolled a Red T at the boss node due to the lack of damage
    • Anyway, CL and DDs should have Night DA setup, AV should have a midget submarine for opening torpedo and 2 seaplane bombers
    • CL can be Abukuma Kai Ni, a midget submarine and 2 20.3cm guns should be the setup for her, if using the other CL then put 2 20.3cm guns + 1 Seaplane on her instead
    • Other than the setup, take note that you won't do considerable damage at day, not to mention that the enemy can wreck your ships easily as well, so you should expect the battle to last till Yasen
    • S rank can be a bit tricky and heavily rely on RNG here so you might need a few runs in order to achieve the goal

5. B69-B99-B101 (4-5 S Rank Party)

General rules for 4-5 Quest :

• Highly recommended to do it before reaching the Final Form for easier S rank
• CA's setup should be 2 guns + seaplane + Type 3 Shell
• The same goes with BB, or an alternative setup 2 guns + seaplane + AP Shell works as well, it can easily get rid of highly armored enemies but take note that it won't deal effective damage against Harbour Princess in yasen
• CVs should be equipped with at least one Dive Bomber each so that they won't attack Harbour Princess, force them to kill the trashes instead, allowing your BBs and CAs to focus on hitting Harbour Princess
• In case you haven't noticed, Harbour Princess is an installation boss, so she is immune to torpedo attacks and the torpedo stat of the girls won't be taken into the damage calculation when hitting her
  • CVs with Torpedo Bombers equipped only can still hurt her a lot if it's a critical hit though, seems like an exception (?)
• Air Power : AS/AS+ : 207/414 (Pre-Final) / 166/332 (Final) / 252/504 (Going through H node, either Pre-Final or Final)

6. B92-B95 (5-3 A Rank Party)

General rules for 5-3 Quests :

• All Night DA Setup : Night DA setup is strong enough to kill enemies, no need to use TCI
• Bring all the night battle equipment : With all of them activated in the night battle node, enemy's CI rate will be greatly reduced = Higher chance to survive
  • Flagship should be the one carrying Searchlight as they are less likely to get hit by the enemies
  • Type 98 Reconnaissance Seaplane (Night Recon) should be put on the girl with the highest level for maximum trigger rate
• Air Power : Having 3 Seaplane Fighters is recommended
  • 3 Seaplane Fighters will guarantee AS at the boss node 66% of the times, AP with the Standard Carrier Wo-Class Flagship comp
    • 4 Seaplane Fighters will guarantee AS in every comp of the boss node
  • Highly recommended to equip your BBs with 2 Guns + Seaplane + AP Shell so that they can do a lot of damage against the enemies at the boss node (If you do bring BB along with you) in case you got AS to enable Artillery Spotting
  • Air Power value (AS/AS+) : 71/141 for the comp with Transport Ship Wa-Class Elite, 113/226 for the comp with Standard Carrier Wo-Class Flagship at the boss node
• Comp : 2 CA(V)s (one as Flagship), 2 DDs, 2 FBBs
  • There is a chance that the enemy SS will pop out at the boss node, you have to pick Line Ahead to kill the surface ships anyway so DDs are generally useless at the boss node if that happens
• Don't bring Seaplane Bombers as whoever has it will be forced to attack the enemy SS at the boss node, thus wasting shots

7. B99 (5-5 Party)

B99 Version

• Avoid using Taiyou Kai Ni for this quest
  • Even using her allows you to bring a third battleship, you don't need that much firepower anyway. As long as the boss node is still in the Initial Form, the surface enemies there are very easy to kill with just 2 BBs and 2 CVs on our side
  • Secondly, Taiyou's Survivability rate is pretty low, she has low HP and Armor so any enemies that have over 80 FP (Like Heavy Cruiser Ri-Class Flagship) can easily kill her
  • Thirdly, even if she can perform OASW, her overall ASW damage is still lower than CL's ASW damage, unless you give her Bomber + 2 Sonar + 1 DC, she will be stronger than CL in this case. But this setup is not recommended in the first place as doing so = You will have to overload the fighters on your other 2 CVs for AS = Sacrificing opening airstrike and shelling damage of CVs
  • Lastly, once Taiyou goes down to below 50% HP (Moderately damaged), she will be a sitting duck and will not launch the planes anymore. If this happens before that trolling SS died, you can say good bye to your S rank !
• Comp : Nagato Kai Ni as Flagship, Mutsu Kai in slot 2, 2CVs, 1CVL, 1CL
  • Using Node Support is recommended, Boss Support is optional
  • Having Aggressive CVL such as Suzuya Carrier Kai Ni or Kumano Carrier Kai Ni will make the quest easier as they will ignore sub to attack surface enemies instead
    • In case you don't have them then just fighter mule your CVL
    • Even I brought Suzuya Carrier Kai Ni, I still fighter mule her because I wanted to focus all the shelling powers to my CVs instead, and sometimes I just simply don't trust CVL to sink any tanky enemies (As shown in the video)
  • BB with the usual setup 2 Guns + Seaplane + AP Shell
  • CL with full ASW setup, either 2 Sonar + 1 DC or Sonar + DC + T2/95 DC Rack
  • Bringing Saiun is optional
  • Go Double Line at the boss node
  • Pray for RNG !
• Air Power : AS/AS+ : 356/712 (Pre-Final) / 375/750 (Final)
• Remember, do this quest before entering the Final Form !
